This three-days workshop series hosted by QANAT collective and friends, centres on agroecological principles and recycled material design practices to reclaim the place of what is too often categorised as waste and left-overs as a means to nourish ourselves and build collective gathering spaces. 

Throughout the workshop, we will first explore Kassel’s surroundings gathering objects, materials, wild edible plants, and food ‘waste.’ This forage will be our main ingredient for a short series of DIY functional design workshops developed in partnership with lumbung member El Warcha, and to set up a menu for a final banquet that will take place on Sunday 14th August as a concluding, collective gathering.
